President's Corner

Mary SchallerDear friends,

Welcome to the first edition of our new digital newsletter, “On Q”! Our title is a play on words with the idiom “on cue” which means, “an indication that the time has come.” In the performing arts, actors are expected to pay attention to the cues so that they can deliver their lines “on cue,” at just the right time.

At Q Place we believe that the time has come for a new paradigm shift in evangelism, so that all Christians can partner with God in what he’s doing in the world to redeem it. As a ministry we are committed to equipping and encouraging church and lay leaders who want their entire congregations (not just a gifted few) to participate in fulfilling the Great Commission that Jesus gave us.

In On Q, you’ll find relevant articles on what’s happening in the church related to evangelism and discipleship. You’ll also see how Q Place resources and processes can deepen relationships and conversations, providing new pathways to introduce people to the Bible and a growing relationship with Jesus. Whether you are a church leader, an individual Christ follower, a donor, or someone who faithfully prays for our ministry, I believe you’ll find the videos and articles relevant and inspiring.

I love the words in The Message version of Isaiah 43:19, when Isaiah the prophet shares the words of God to his people who were in exile: “Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new. It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it? There it is! I’m making a road through the desert, rivers in the badlands.” I believe these words from Isaiah are just as true for us today in a post-Christian America as we live as a minority in a form of exile. God is doing something new with his people. Do we see it? If he wants to use each of us to make a new pathway for people to come to know Jesus, are we ready to come on the scene at just the right time?

May God use this newsletter to be an encouragement to you and to equip you for his purpose in the world!
