An Equipping Center is a church or organization that serves as a hub for Q Place activity in a community. Equipping Centers are formed as Q Place and churches form mutual partnerships to equip and support people to launch and sustain Q Places.
Equipping Centers train, coach, and support those facilitating Q Places.
Q Place Workshops
Equipping Centers cast vision by hosting workshops for potential Q Place Initiators. Workshops are two-hour interactive events that explain the why, what, and how of Q Place, and serve to build interest in a community for starting Q Places. Workshop attendees are given an opportunity to join a Turbo Group to learn the basics of how to start a Q Place along with others who have a similar interest.
Support
People are more likely to actually start a Q Place if they are both thoroughly equipped and well-supported. Equipping Centers create multiple levels of support for Initiators through Turbo Groups, Initiator triads, and monthly large group Equip Meetings. In this sense, a single Initiator finds partners in three places: with the leaders of an Equipping Center, with the members of a Turbo Group, and within a triad of Initiators who facilitate a Q Place together.
