Hello! Welcome to Q Place’s “Adopt an Eric” program where we offer scholarships for folks who want to attend this year’s Vital Conference. If you want to come to Vital but don’t think you can afford it, you have come to the right place! If you think that Vital is wonderful (which it is!) and you want to help others get there by donating, you too have come to the right place!

We are currently accepting donations and accepting requests for scholarships.

To request a scholarship, please email the lovely Ms. Jan Teat at jteat@QPlace.com with your name, contact information, and a brief description of why you want to come to Vital. Please note that we have a limited number of scholarships and can’t guarantee that every request will be granted in full.

If you would like to Donate to Adopt an Eric, you can

Here are some of the people you would be sponsoring to join us at Vital in September:

Eric
Venable photoAdopt an Eric!

Eric Venable loves Q Place and the paradigm changing approach of the inductive method. Living in “un-churched” Portland, Oregon makes re-thinking evangelism crucial. “Q Place and the Vital Conference are not just a fresh and proven approach, it is the future of where the Church needs to go!” Eric's passion for Q Place has inspired him to join forces with the Q Place movement and he is seen as a precocious member of the Vital planning team. Eric is currently unemployed so attending the Vital conference is going to be financially challenging. Could you help Eric get from Portland to Chicago this September to part of the Vital conference? Any gift could make a tremendous difference!

Adopt an Emily!

DSC01939DSC01939Emily Capo is the communications catalyst for Q Place. As a recent grad from the University of Chicago, Emily arrived at last year’s Vital conference full of questions about how God was going to use her for the Kingdom. She left the conference bubbling over with ideas, totally hooked on the Q Place method and delighted with all the people she met. Since then, she has joined forces with Q Place to work both nationally and locally as a missionary. She is raising her support to do this work and would greatly appreciate sponsorship for attending Vital in September.

Vitali 002Adopt a Vitali!

Vitali Ogorodnikov is a graduate of the Technical University in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia, in 2006 with PhD degree in computer science. After many prayers he and his wife, Julia, followed the call to be missionaries with Campus Crusade for Christ and not to pursue the carrier. They became staff in 2007. Vitali and Julia cherish a vision for Siberia and Russia wherein by the year 2020 everybody in Russia would know at least one Christian who takes an initiative in sharing the Gospel. Vitali is excited about Q place, believing it is a good tool they could use to fulfill their vision and to train other Russian Christians to start this ministry across Russia. Because there is such a need for the Gospel in Siberia, Vitali thinks it's a great tool Russian church can use to win many people for Jesus. Vitali would like very much to come to Vital but needs sponsorship both for registration but also for airfare from Siberia.

Reggie and Kim Archie have been involved in evangelism for over two decades. They have a desire to see others come to Christ. They have found the Q Place method to be the perfect compliment for their ministry style and function as catalysts in the San Francisco Bay Area. Reggie and Kim desire to attend the upcoming Vital conference in September. This conference promises to be a vital aid in supporting their ministry to reach out to their region in helping fulfill the goal of creating many Turbo and Q Place groups.

TeaguesAdopt the Teagues!

Carol Teague, her husband Dennis, and their daughter Lydie are missionaries in France. Reaching people for Christ there is slow and difficult so they are always looking for new ideas to share our faith. When Dennis met people involved in Q Place he was very excited about using the model in France. People in France love to discuss and are not interested in attending church or Bible studies. In talking with other Christians, the Teagues have found them interested in learning to start Q Places when the material is available.

Carol Teague looks forward to equipping herself at Vital, and helping others to start groups in our church and in many areas of France.

Thanks to the Q Place guides, Lydie Teague was able to start some little groups in France. Lydie also, with Dennis, Carol, her husband and two other people from her church we did a turbo group.

Lydie TeagueLydie looks forward to Vital because she feels the need for a more profound formation. She would like to become well-versed enough in the Q Place method to be able to teach it to other people. She thinks this is something that will be very useful in France, and she would very much like to see it put in place in her church when the books are translated.

Lydie and Carol Teague are hoping to accompany their father and husband to Vital this year, but they need your support for registration and airfare. Help the Teagues get to Vital!
